The Ordnance Survey have made the 1873 County Series of maps available free of charge on their web site www.old-maps.co.uk.  The 'old site' hyperlink generally gives better results.

These maps are a large enough scale (1:10,000) to show every field, track and cottage.  They are the earliest large-scale OS maps available for Surrey.
